Invisalign is not like other orthodontic treatments: rather than using fixed braces to move the teeth, Invisalign uses custom-made aligners, which are removable and virtually invisible. The aligners are worn in a specified order, with each one worn for a period of 2 weeks.

What are the advantages?
Invisalign has a wealth of benefits for patients of all ages; the aligners are almost invisible, which means that nobody has to even know that you are wearing braces and they are also removable, which means that eating and drinking are hassle-free. You can also take the aligners out to brush your teeth, which makes it easier to maintain good oral hygiene. Invisalign aligners are light and comfortable and they do not contain any metal.
What does treatment involve?
Before treatment begins, you will be invited to attend a free initial consultation to find out more about the treatment and how it could benefit you. We will examine your mouth and do some basic tests to check that you are a suitable candidate and then treatment can begin. Invisalign treatment is planned in advance, which means that you will be able to see the anticipated results of treatment before you even start wearing your aligners.
The aligners are custom-made for the individual based on your personalised treatment plan; each aligner is different and they are shaped to encourage the teeth to move into the desired position. The aligners are worn for 2 weeks and then swapped for the next aligner every fortnight until treatment is complete and you are ready to flash your new smile.
